Born in England, but raised mostly in Spain, Arianne Sved holds a BA in Film and Video from the London College of Communication, where she studied under the tutelage of respected feminist film theorist Laura Muley and acclaimed director Ken Loach among others. She later expanded her filmmaking skills through courses and workshops in production, directing, editing and dubbing in Spain, Germany and the United States.
Arianne has collaborated on several film and television projects in various capacities, including her role as Art Director on the Mannheim Film Festival winning film China Lake. More recently, she made two short videos on the global movement for real democracy, in which she has been involved since the emergence of the 15M protests in Spain and Occupy in the USA.
Thanks to her linguistic skills in both English and Spanish, Arianne has also worked for many years as a translator, interpreter and proofreader/editor in various professional fields – journalism, film, academia, fine arts, science and marketing among others – in both written and audiovisual formats.
Former member of Podemos and Ahora en ComĂșn, Arianne participated in both the Spanish 15M movement and in the Occupy movement in the US and is currently a member of Barcelona en ComĂș.
