WE TRANSLATE
Our Blog in El Salto
We curate and translate texts addressing social and environmental issues, as well as alternative economies, and offer these translations to the public as a freely accessible commons. Since 2019 we have collaborated with Spain’s phenomenal alternative media publication El Salto, translating important articles for a Spanish-speaking audience.

WE COMMUNICATE
Commons-oriented communications campaigns
Heinrich Böll Foundation: Social media and networking, promotional materials and newsletters in both Spanish and English.
In addition to translating Free, Fair and Alive into Spanish in 2020, we have collaborated with the Heinrich Böll Foundation to launch media campaigns promoting Silke Helfrich and David Bollier’s seminal work since its initial publication in English. We also translated supplemental content on the patterns of commoning and carried out a bilingual communications campaign promoting the commons and seeking out points of intersection with other social movements. You can subscribe to The Commoner, our monthly newsletter which began with this project but has since continued with a life of its own.
WE CREATE
DisCO.coop
Though we do love sequins and illuminated floors, that’s not what we’re getting at here. The DisCO.coop project was born out of the lived experiences of Guerrilla Media Collective over the past few years. Drawing lessons from the many texts we’ve worked with, this project focuses on the design and practice of commons-based work. DisCO stands for Distributed Cooperative Organisation, a model that aims to enrich the classic principles of cooperative organisation with a philosophy based on the commons, P2P governance and feminist economics. Find all the latest developments here: DisCO.coop. DisCO was also included in the curriculum of Mondragon University’s second edition of the Platform Coops Now! course.
