The following was originally published in the Spanish-language zine Descuartizadora, which Guerrilla Translation is translating into English as part of our first Love Work Open Call. The insecure macho cannot stand the magnificence of a woman with a phallus. He cannot admit his attraction to her.

It makes him want to kill her.

She would even be willing to tear off her most beautiful serpent just to be accepted as a woman.

But the serpent between her legs is what makes Medusa more beautiful, more powerful, stronger.

She will tear off the head of any Perseus that dares question her existence as a woman with a phallus. She has learned to love her body and her serpents.
