The following was originally published in the Spanish-language zine Descuartizadora, which Guerrilla Translation is translating into English as part of our first Love Work Open Call. Individual articles, stories and poems will be translated and posted here one by one until all the content has been completed, at which point an English-language version of the zine will be formatted and made available in its entirety.

The insecure macho cannot stand the magnificence of a woman with a phallus. He cannot admit his attraction to her.

It makes him want to kill her.

She would even be willing to tear off her most beautiful serpent just to be accepted as a woman.

But the serpent between her legs is what makes Medusa more beautiful, more powerful, stronger.

She will tear off the head of any Perseus that dares question her existence as a woman with a phallus. She has learned to love her body and her serpents.
